Making of Architecture Scale Model of Hyundai Pune Plant
Used 52,184 LEGO Bricks to create a 100 sqft installation for Hyundai for Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

Planning & Designing

To begin with a CAD file, that I had never used earlier in my life was probably the best learning for this project.
With Sketchup & Construction files, I had to convert entire plant into a 100 sqft size first with exact scale.
The final scale achieved was 1 : 330
The Sourcing Journey
The model uses 52,184 LEGO bricks comprising of 78 different shapes and 16 varied colors.
Since the deadline was just 30 days from day of assembly, the procurement had to happen within the first 7 days to be able to deliver on time.

Building it!
The tricky part of building was about following the scale, and keeping it as accurate as possible.
This means, all the widths & heights had to be matched upto 2mm level.
The structures also had to be given stability & strength - which was done by a lot of internal re-inforcement.
It took us 14 days to build everything - roads, buildings, parkings & plants.
Going into Detailing!
To make it as real as possible, smallest set of detailing was to be taken care of. That included plantation, shutters, stickers, markers, tags & more.
Each of the 34 building elements were detailed as much as possible with accuracy to replicate the actual factory aesthetics.

Assembly
The entire model was transported over 1100kms to the venue of Bharat Mobility Expo at New Delhi, where we were given 12 hours to assemble.
Since we knew we had limited time, we had packaged it in such a way that it could be quickly put together.
The final glass casing was our end to the 30 day process.
